Site Rules
Please read these carefully before posting or participating.
As an official Habbo.com fansite, HabboQuests has certain standards and policies in place to ensure we are providing a safe, welcoming online community for all Habbos. Listed below are the rules and expectations that are in place whilst you are accessing the HabboQuests site, HabboQuests events and any other HabboQuests services. By using/taking part in any of the HabboQuests services, you agree to follow the rules listed below.
Inappropriate Language
Overly inappropriate language is not welcome at HabboQuests. We understand that Habbo is an online community for adolescents, and we understand that this means that on occasion there will be swearing taking place. Avoid being overly inappropriate and swearing excessively. Keep in mind that some users may be younger than you and that some users may not want to read your obscene statements. Particular words and phrases have been censored - attempting to avoid these filters will result in staff action as well.
Punishment - 1 warning point (3 day expiry)
Bullying
HabboQuests is an anti-bullying community which does not tolerate any form of bullying. Despite what many Habbo users think, bullying can take place in numerous forms. These forms include, but are not limited to:- Spreading rumours and/or nasty gossip- Abusive comments/content- Impersonating- Intending embarrassment/humiliation- Damaging somebody else's social reputation- Excluding others intentionally.
Punishment - 2 warning points (2 week expiry)
Privacy
All users are entitled to their privacy. No users should be found sharing personal or private details about another user. Users should not share their own personal details either, such as I.P. addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, account passwords, etc.
Punishment - 2 warning points (3 month expiry)
Discrimination
HabboQuests is a community in which all users are welcome, regardless of race, culture, gender or sexuality. Any derogatory statements or content made towards another user, intending to discriminate, will result in staff action.
Punishment - 2 warning points (2 week expiry)
Malicious or Harmful acts and topics
Discussing and/or taking part in hacking, scamming, scripting, exploiting, spreading viruses and so forth will not be tolerated at all. Such discussion or acts will result in serious punishments, regardless of the severity of the particular situation.
Punishment - Permanent ban
Explicit Content
Any content which is explicit is strictly prohibited. Sexual content, including but not limited to pornography, will be taken extremely seriously. As a community with users under the age of 18 and 21 years old, depending on your local laws, posting such content is illegal and can result in severe legal consequences. This rule is not only directed at sexual content, but all explicit content. Be sure to ask yourself if what you are posting is appropriate for all ages before sending it.
Punishment - If pornographic or highly sexual, permanent ban. If not pornographic or highly sexual, 3 warning points (6 month expiry)
Spam
Spam = stupid, pointless, annoying messages. Any messages which contain less than 3 words could be considered pointless. The only section in which spam is tolerated is in the "Spam Galore" category found here. Do not create multiple threads on the same topic, if you see a thread with the same sort of ideas, reply to it - do NOT create a new one! This also falls under Bumping OLD Threads. Do NOT bump old threads where the most recent reply is 6 months ago or longer. Instead, a new thread could be made or better suit the purpose. This rule also applies on spam liking posts. Do not just like a post for the sake of it - like it if you actually LIKE it.
The limit of 3 threads in 6 hours rule is currently INACTIVE. However, if you happen to post a lot of spammy/pointless threads then they will be deleted and result in a warning point.
Punishment - 1 warning point (1 week expiry)
Habbo Way
All users at HabboQuests are expected to adhere to the Habbo Way. This includes the fact that all users must be over the age of 13.
Punishment - 1 warning points (1 week expiry)
Spam Mentioning
Users are not allowed to mention loads of members in their threads or posts to get as many people as they can to see it. If found spamming users with alerts you will be issued a warning depending on the severity.
Punishment - 1 warning points (1 week expiry)
The warning system at HabboQuests is extremely simple to understand. Under each of the rules above is the amount of warning points that will be applied to your account, and how long they will stay there. Once your account reaches a certain amount of warning points, your account will begin to lose access to particular tools.
1 warning point - Take this as a warning to read over the rules and to make sure that you do not make another mistake.
2 warning points - Your account will lose the ability to post new comments on articles and profiles, and start new threads on the forum.
3 warning points - Your account will be banned for up to 3 months.
All HabboQuests accounts have encrypted passwords, which means that even our developers cannot view your actual password, they will simple see a scrambled combination of letters, numbers and symbols which cannot be decrypted. We would still advise all users to not user their Habbo account password for their HabboQuests account though. Whilst we make every attempt possible to ensure your account details are kept private and safe, there may come a time where a breach occurs. It is better to be safe and simply use an entirely different password to ensure that your Habbo account remains secure.
Be aware: HabboQuests staff have and hold the right to modify your HabboQuests account, to warn your account or to ban your account if it is believed to be appropriate. We have no intention to exclude users from our community, however, will do so if they are interrupting the community or causing issues - it is your own responsibility to follow the rules and we will not accept reasons such as "I did not know that was a rule" or "It was a mistake". Once a warning or ban is applied, it is extremely rare that management will revoke these punishments.

Be aware of the following
- HabboQuests staff can apply punishments to your account for reasons not listed above, if provided approval by our site management.
- HabboQuests staff have the right to modify your account if it is believed that your account is in breach of our rules.
- No content at HabboQuests is ever truly deleted. All deleted content remains stored on our database for moderation purposes. If editing content, the original content is stored and is accessible to moderators, and the altered form is displayed. If you break a rule in something you post, and then try to avoid punishment by deleting or editing the content, our moderators can and will access the original content, and the rules will still apply to the original content in addition to the newer version(s).
- HabboQuests staff have the right to modify these rules without prior notice.
